I've yet to find this shop, but I'll update this guide if I happen to stumble across it. There are no Witch Doctors or Cat Mummies this early in the game, but you can be cursed (inflicting the same status effect) by getting hit by one of the Curse Pots. While being cursed sounds like a huge headache, some players are claiming to have found a secret Ghost Shop on 1-4. Navigating the levels and completing the challenge to receive the elixir is not for the faint hearted. The enemies in the Temple zone are incredibly powerful, not to mention the Cat Mummies that also have the ability to curse you. That said, making your way from the Jungle zone to the Temple of Anubis is very challenging on a single heart. Fans have already compiled every journal entry into a shared document, and the elixir description outlines that it'll cure any affliction, so it sounds promising. Redditors have mentioned that completing the challenge on one of the Temple levels awards Elixir instead of the Clone Gun, which heals the cursed status effect. It is recommended that you purchase it, though it can also be stolen at great risk. The Ankh is capable of resurrecting the Spelunker once if they die. It can only be acquired from a certain shop in The Black Market, and always costs 50,000. Although, after testing this by placing multiple enemies-including a dazed pet-on an altar, I remained cursed. 50,000 The Ankh is the second of four Egyptian artifacts required to access the City of Gold. There are rumours claiming that the curse can be lifted by sacrificing something at one of Kali's altars. However, in true Spelunky fashion, there are plenty of secrets in this game and it takes time to discover them all. One confirmed method is by dying while holding the Ankh. Alternatively, you can TP in from Waddler's. It's a little fiddly, but there are many setups. You can skip the fight by making a hole for Olmec to bounce by it and spam the door button to go in. You ride Olmec to enter at the bottom, then climb up the back layer. There are reportedly a few ways to lift the curse effect. The top right is intended to be the exit after collecting the ankh. Your whip also stuns this enemy, but be mindful of the fact that standing next to it also puts you within range of its skull spirit. Similar to other enemies, stomping on the Witch Doctor's head will stun it, and you won't have to repeat this process if you're wearing spike boots. The skull cannot stray too far away from its master, so you can just outrun it. The Witch Doctor may look intimidating, but it's quite easy to skitter past them, providing that level generator is on your side. If the skull attacks while you're already at one heart, you'll die instantly. Regardless of the number of hearts you've accumulated on your run so far, being cursed reduces your bank of health to one, so a single hit from another enemy will kill you. You have a few seconds to dart out of range, but if the skull manages to touch you, you'll enter a cursed state that makes your character turn a worrying shade of grey. Step 6: At Abzu, Get To The top Through The Opening and Get Down to Kingu, Start Slicing until Kingu Dies.Even if the Witch Doctor hasn't spotted you just yet, if its floating skull sees you closeby, it'll begin to drift towards you. Step 5 (Optional Route) Find an Opening and Get to The Bottom, And then Follow this Tutorial by Mezian: Step 5: Find an Opening and Get To The Bottom, Grab the Trap Totem, Die and Then Go down To The Secret Opening. Feel free to leave youre opinion or ankh skip requests in the comments. Not all things will work properly as this is my first script. Step 4: In 4-2, There is an Excalibur at the Bottom, Pick up The Excalibur and Proceed to 4-3 This is a script meant entirely for practicing ankh skips to get the hang of it, its meant to save a lot of time. Step 3 (Optional Route): Cycle Through the First Phase and Take The Tide Pool Door. Step 3: Get to 3-1, Defeat Olmec And Grab The Ankh and Proceed to 4-2 Step 2 (Volcana) Get to The Lava Area and Find Something That Looks Like a Drill, Use the Eye To Activate it and Climb Down, There Might Be Lava in your Way so You have to Wait it Out. Drinking the Elixir will provide a buff that grants a one-time resistance against debuffs. Non player characters are also able to receive debuffs and will assume the same effects. They can dramatically change gameplay for the player depending on when/where they get one. Step 2 (Jungle) Go To The Jungle Area and Start Placing Bombs when The Eye Starts Flickering, Go Through the Opening and Rather Steal or Buy the Hedjet from The Shopkeeper Debuffs are a unique gameplay element introduced in Spelunky 2.
